Mum's Birthday...
It is Mum’s 50th birthday today! :)
Celebrations started on Saturday where we had dinner at No Name Seafood Restaurant @ Vivo and stretched over a couple of days so as to accommodate everyone’s busy schedule.
Pity that Squirrel couldn’t join us at the dinner, if not we would have ordered A LOT of crabs and pig out!
Monday was more of a chill-out-at-home session with Mum and bro, as it was one of those rare days he got to claim off from camp!
Then yesterday, bought a fruit (longan & peach) cake and plenty of yakitori and sushi for dinner while on the way home and we had the cake cutting! Cake turned out unexpectedly delicious! Mike loved it so much he tried (and succeeded) in nipping bits off the sides of the cake!
Was so busy with events that I really did not have time to plan much for the celebrations nor specially place an order for a cake like past years!
Quite guilty actually and quite worried too that I wouldn’t get a ‘suitable’ cake until the last minute! So I’m quite glad things turn out smoothly… though not as exciting as I would like it to be - afterall it’s the 50th one and usually people would want to mark the milestone in a HUGE way - but still, overall quite pleasant lah…
Hopefully, I can save enough money and make it a grand one for her 55th! Hehe…
