I figured i'd do a light texture tutorial for this challenge so you all can learn.

First of all, you MUST have your paint shop pro tool bars looking like mine. I'll explain what that is...
No, i don't mind if you use these images, but dont submit any of these images for ANY contest ANYWHERE.
credit for this icon if you decide to use it.

First:

get your tool bar on the right pulled out, pull it out by clicking and dragging your mouse to the left.

This is what we'll be doing:

Steps:

1. Start with this base:

2. add this light texture made by ME.

[x] to add light textures::::::::::::
--copy [ctrl+c] and paste as new layer [ctrl+l]
--go to the far right tool bar. see where it says Raster Layer 2--100--Normal? click on Normal, set it to Screen
you should have this:

3. Take this light texture and rotate it 90 degrees: Image>>Rotate>>90 degrees

4. Then copy and paste it as a new layer like we did in step 2, set it to Dodge (the same way you set step two to screen)
you should have this:

5. merge layers: layers>>merge>>all visible (flatten)

6. use your shape tool to put the white rectangles in (this is right above your pen tool, right below the text tool)

7. My finished product, with some extra stuff on it:
