You know, I've been here for....a while now, but I've never tried out a gym fight! I mean, at first I was just trying to adjust and follow Quisty, and then I got all settled in Goldenrod....I guess I didn't have the time! [ Small laugh. It's not really funny, anyway. ]

Right. As for advice... Train a lot? And maybe get a pokemon whose type has an advantage over the one you're challenging. I think I heard most of these Gym leaders stick to one particular type.

It is, but I heard they could still be using pokemon that have two types, but still have the one type they prefer.
