Ugly, Ugly, Ugly, Ugly, Ugly! thought Angelica, rummaging through her clothes. What was I thinking?!
She tried on a pair of old jeans and could barely get them up over her thighs. What was happening to her? Why am I so FAT all of a sudden? She tried on a skirt from last year only to see that it was extremely short on her and looked hideous. Ugh!
Truth was, Angelica was having a growth spurt. Only problem: she didn't know it yet.
She took a trip up to the library to send an owl to her mum.
Mum,
Do you think you could send me some new clothes? I kind of gained weight. :( And I look horrible in everything. I don't know what size to ask for, but definitely bigger than the old one, please. ...Make that much bigger.
Do you think it's because I've stopped playing football?
