Talk about a time you realized that someone close to you was not the person you thought you knew.
Well, let's see... There was my dad who I thought was a good man and it turned out that he was a controlling sociopath. Not what you meant? Okay, I'll try again. There was the time that I met this really strange girl and then found out that she was an ex-vengeance demon? Or the time that Xander was split into two people. Or the buffybot. Or when I found out that Sunshine was a vampire. Or when I found out that Willow had a vampire double from another dimension. Or that Dawnie wasn't really real, but a mystical key that had existed for centuries... ::Blinks:: Now that I think about it, no one is ever what I expect them to be. Maybe that's true with all people. Maybe no one is ever who or what we expect them to be. And not just those who live over the Hellmouth. I think that's why I've tried to stop expecting things from people. I mean, you only end up confused or disappointed. Better to let them be who they are, and then just... Go from there. I think that's right.
