Okay, how about a real update for a change, eh?
Yes...it certainly has been awhile since I've actually updated this thing, hasn't it? Well, let me try to offer some sort of explanation as to why I haven't updated in forever. Well, first, let me tell you what became of the end of my spring semester. As far as grades go, I still ended up with a C in economics. As for the rest of my classes, I ended up with a B in Japanese and Marine Biology and an A in Honors Psychology and Symphonic Band (wow, what a surprise there...). So, overall, my GPA is now sitting at 3.41, which barely keeps me out of Honors probation and also still allows me to keep my scholarship. And well, my parents were understanding about it all. They weren't mad or disappointed at all, much to my relief.
Anyways, then I went to China and had a blast there. Although, by the time that first week was up, I think we were all ready to come back to America. We got really tired of that Chinese food, you know.
Well, after that, I get back into the country and go to church that very next Sunday. I hear the announcement that two spots have opened up on the Honduras mission trip. And whoever wants to go has to already have a passport and all their immunizations. Lo and behold, I meet both those requirements, and I'd wanted to go to Honduras last summer but couldn't because of my job. I agreed to go, especially once I found out that there were plenty of other young people going that I could hang out with. I'm so glad I made that decision, too. I had an awesome time down there, and I would definitely do it again, given the chance.
Hmm...well, I got a job at McDonald's...and then promptly quit it after discovering that the fast food business is NOT for me. So now, I'm working at Ace Hardware redoing the pricing system there. I already know how to work their computer system and everything. I basically just print labels and go find that particular item in the store and stick the label with it. *shrugs* Not hard at all. And MUCH less stressful than McDonald's. Plus, I get paid better, too. ^_^ That's always a plus.
Well, I do believe that's about all I have the energy and will to type about myself for right now. Perhaps I'll try updating more often. You knoow, maybe once every two weeks instead of once every two years. :P
