communication is meant to BALANCED.
i went for a church wedding today... its a really simple affair. in fact its too simple for me. its just a video clip (which i missed) praise and worship, a short message, the ceremony itself and then a small buffet. But yeah i guess it was enough for them. but the couple's really cute! husband's gonna be a pilot, wife's gonna be a stewardess. lol how awesome! :)
anyway this lady was speakin to the crowd today. no idea if shes the pastor, but her message was all about marriage and stuff. and she mentioned one thing- that women love to listen. and all i could think about was, 'reaally? women rather listen than talk??' i know its a rather general statement, but i think its kinda untrue. it has to be balanced, no? thats what communication is all about isn't it? talking AND listening. if the guys talk more than they listen, then wouldn't the girls think they're just there to listen? and if the girls just listen, wouldnt the guys think 'woah im talkin too much?' ok, maybe its just me. i would talk if the guy's willing to listen, and of course i'd listen when they wanna talk. but balanced communication is vital, in my opinion. you cant just generalize and say women rather listen than talk. thats bullshit for me. hahahah
btw internet is SHIT for me. we exceeded our allowance without realising, so its tortorise-speed now. aweeesome... but at least i have a slow connection. beats having none. heh.
