Doujinshi anyone?
My friend, minako134 and myself are in the process of making an Angelic Layer doujinishi, and being that is an Angelic Layer community, I thought I'd share what we've gotten done so far (minako134 is the writer and I'm the drawer, so you really can't see what she's doing until I get to drawing it though) ^_^
Firstly, here's what started it all a CG of my deus character and her angel. Once I finished this little piece and posted it on the 'net, minako134 got quite worked up and went on about a storyline and somesuch.
We ended up deciding that our storyline (which I wont go in to too much detail since it's still in the planning stages) is set two or three years after the end of the manga, so I came up with a couple different ideas for an older Misaki hairstyle. We decided on something close to the hairstyle in the bottom left corner.
And finally, the first page, half inked. Not only does it show what we decided for Misaki's older look (although there's more to it for when I draw a back view), it shows why I never do full on face shots, I can never make the eyes the same size or shape. >_< But, I'm still pretty happy with how it's turning out.
When I get more stuff draw and scanned, I'll be more than happy to share it here in the community if anyone's interested! You can also get random sketches, character studies, and other drawings over at thepaperduet, which is a semi-daily art journal I share with minako134. A lot of our planning art pieces for the doujinshi will be posted there (and sometimes only there). That's all then ^_^ thanks to those that actually read through my ramblings.
