Slumbering next to you how I missed you
One arm draped over my shoulder
The other arm under the pillow cradling my neck
My heart surrounded with your warmth and scent
Your naked chest sticking to my soft silky breasts
Faces barely an inch apart
How quiet you were compared to the sounds of my sleep
You were dead
And I was constantly drowning
Fighting nightmare and fears
You were there to squeeze me tighter
Sometimes a random kiss throughout the night
Whispering "I love you"
My one leg draped around your hip
I remember how you told me it comforted you
I sometimes rubbed the top of my one foot behind your foot or ankle
I didn't realize I did this in my sleep
Strange things some people do to try to feel closer
Sometimes shifting you would kiss my neck
Or I would snuggle closer to the back of your neck
The touch of soft tiny hairs
The trace of residues across my lips
The smell of tea tree oil
The organic soaps you use
