YouTube is amazing. I found so many songs that I had been looking but didn't have the fifteen dollars to blow on a CD for one song. I love it, love it, love it.
Has anyone noticed the number of scandals involving beauty pageant winners/American Idol winners? And almost all of them are about someone threatening to expose so-called "provocative" pictures that were taken of them. Ladies, why the hell are having photos taken of you doing anything? What's wrong with you? Are you that narcissistic that you think you need to have actual documentation of whatever illegal thing you're doing? Aren't you supposed to be volunteering or performing at a gig or something? That is total crap. "Oh, nobody will ever see these." Riiiiggghht. Let me put it this way: if it is something that Paris Hilton has done, you shouldn't be doing it.
Upselling is bullshit. That's what I have to do at my job and it sucks hard. Asking people to buy crap they don't want is miserable. If people wanted it, they would get it. We have to ask for charity donations, magazine subscriptions, candy, and some other crap. I'm genuinely surprised that I haven't had things launched at my head yet. When the manager isn't around we don't even bother. I'm not even going to get into the spiel we have to do when we answer the phones. People actually say, "Do you really have to say that?". I don't care if it is a big revenue driver for the corporation (I don't see how that can be because hardly anyone buys this shit outside of the candy) because 1.) I won't be seeing any of it, and 2.)we are burning out the customers. They just want to get their shit and go home. That's it. It seems that everyone is out for everyone's money and I wish corporate would just chill with that.
The lenses of my glasses keep cracking. I am so ready to tear PearleVision a new one it's not even funny.
