Last November, the Democrats took control of the House and Senate, so you think that finally we might be on the track. As of last week, though, that doesn't seem to be the case. When Bush vetoed the bill that included timelines for getting our troops out of Iraq, they backed down. I seriously wanted to throw something. Hey Democrats, that's why you were elected in the first fucking place! And the fact that right now, the leading presidential Democratic candidate is John Edwards. John Edwards. That's exactly what we don't need - another John Kerry, but with better hair.
I really really really wish that the Dems would stop cowering under a political bullies whose leader can't even speak correct English. It's time to stop hugging each other and start kicking ass. It's time to start flipping off the conservative rage machine. When Jimmy Carter and other liberals retract their comments saying that this is by far the worst administration, it just makes me think that we are never going to over come our genuinely fucked government. All of this kowtowing is just going to make people think that maybe they should vote for someone that is going to do something, anything, even though that thing is would be to ensure that millions more of soldiers and troops are being sent to their deaths.
BTW, we hear all this talk about polls - what the polls say, what the polls indicate, etc. What fucking polls? They didn't me or anyone else I know.
To conclude this, I am going to quote Bill Maher saying what should have been Jimmy Carter's response to the conservatives "I meant what I said and said what I meant. As the man who built the first house for Habitat for Humanity, I'm going to build a place. I'll let you know when we can meet, and you can blow me." That's not exactly word for word, but pretty close.
Oh, if only.
