A friendship that lasts in time...

Yesterday I received an Email that put a big smile on my face. My childhood friend Alexandra sent me an Email saying that she has the internet at home now. I was happy to hear from her again, she's the friend I've known for the longest. We met at school when we were only 7 years old. Sixteen years later, we are still friends ! We spent a lot of our time together when we were younger up until the end of junior high (when we were about 16), then we went to different high school and didn't have so much time to see one another, but still kept in touch. She had a baby last year in July and I went to visit her when her baby was about 2 weeks old. I didn't get to see her again since as she was a busy bee and I couldn't really afford to go visit her where she lives (still in the town we were both living when we were kids), even though I wanted to.
I am so glad she has the internet, because now we can keep in touch.
She said that she hopes to see me again sometime and also said that she got my wedding invitation and she would have loved to go, but couldn't because she had an exam around that time, and she couldn't really afford it then. But she said she hopes to visit sometime, which I would love as well.
She was always the kind of girl that would smile and joke and bring you up,no matter what was going on.
I have so many memories of our childhood together, it's amazing. When we were in junior high, we had to choose a second language in addition to English. We had the choice between Spanish, German and Italian. Since her ancestors were Italian (her name is VIZZACCHERO, don't think you can do more Italian than that!) she wanted to learn the language. And since we knew not very many people would choose Italian (most would take Spanish) and we knew they would put everyone who picked Italian in the same class (over there, one class is a group of 30 people who go to every lesson as a whole), I picked Italian, that way we were sure to be in the same class for the last 2 years...lol...There were only 5 of us learning Italian, so the class was rather fun (just for italian lessons though, the other lessons we were with 25 other pupils), but effective. We even went to Rome for a week, and we had a good time. We were staying in a convent, and all. That was cool.
We even had to redo our year together ! lol. I sucked at Maths and she kinda sucked at English and French. We helped each other the next year and passed successfully. hehe.

But yeah, the bottom line is that I am so happy she is able to keep in touch online now.

She even informed me that one of our friends is now living in Australia.

We all have grown up and have our own lives, but we still think of one another and it's amazingly awesome. We were friends when we were taking care of our baby dolls, and will still be friends when we take care of our children. Not very many people I know can say they've remained friends with their childhood friend of 16 years.

Well that's all I wanted to write this time so I guess I'm going to go have a shower and so some housework, I was supposed to do that yesterday but ended up procrastinating and sitting around being bored, and taking a nap and stuffs... lol...

Take care everyone !
