Today I read The Stranger.
ugh.
What a piece of self indulgent tripe. I don't at ALL care for philosophy. So boring. This book totally lacked the human element, it might as well have been written by a dog with vocabulary. The narration what like a protracted, indifferent, endless monologue.
Merasault, or should I say Mr. Camus, if nothing is worth anything, if nothing matters. Why write a book? Why express opinion at all, not that you had much of an opinion, besides that nothing deserves opinion. Hah, what a hypocrite, what a joke.
If you haven't read The Stranger, don't. I have a migraine from disappointment, anger, boredom, and laughing at the idiocy of it all. I read it because Jeff suggested it, but Jeff is a philosopher, as far as I'm concerned that word is synonymous with drone. It's not about the atheism but the total lack of emotion, yes logic is fantastic, and it's not used enough, but it is equally annoying and pointless to use no emotion as it is to use too much. Ugh.
