Stranger things have happened

Well, my grandfather's still in the hospital.  We're not sure if he's ever going to be able to go home.  He'll probably stay in the hospital or go into a nursing home, once they're sure of the extent of the damage the stroke did.  They're adjusting his medication and trying to find out just how bad it is.  If he can swallow, they'll start getting some nourishment in him slowly.  I knkow it gives my grandmother a huge thrill to see him more awake than he was, but I don't think she's tempered it with some reality.  He's just never going to be the man he once was.

They've started construction on our building, which means it gets loud, noisy, smelly, and dusty from about 6-2 daily.  I take full advantage of my lunch hour to get out and clear my head (almost literally) by leaving the building when I can.  It's not fun to be pregnant when they have to work on the bathrooms.  They pulled in a portable trailer for that, but let's face it, one stall for about 20 women just isn't going to work well.  Maybe I should just bring a roll of toilet paper and go out towards the woods.
