I made an attempt at MySpace and Facebook. Both of which I still have - but I've been feeling the need to blog again. To help me sort things out. To help keep me sane.... and to catch up with everyone still on here because I feel out of the loop and sometimes lonely.
I guess you could say I'm in a transitional period right now. I quit my job. I hadn't been happy for a while and have been looking. I hated getting up in the morning and going. It was the last straw when my boss accused me of lying about leads. Don't ever question my integrity. Part of me thought he was stressed too because since new upper management rolled through town things have been steadily declining. But part of me also thought he may have gotten wind of my job search. In sales you very quickly become a liability at that point. So rather than let him continue to make an attempt to build a case and fire me, I decided I was done. My last day is officially this Thursday - May 1st, but I'm home from here on out. Bossman felt there was no need for me to come in any longer.
It's bittersweet. On one hand I'm relieved - and I've been going on second, third and final interviews for jobs all this week and will be next week, so something huge is on the horizon. If there is a delay in start, I do have a rather large tax refund check coming that can float me.
But I'll miss the people I see every day. Especially D. That's a story for a whole other entry and anyone that wants to comment or offer up advice it is greatly appreciated, because I'm a mess over that guy. I adore him.
I can't recall my last update - but it's been a whirlwind. Last summer was a blur as I battled a nasty bout of mono that knocked me on my ass for weeks, then found myself out of work due to an abcess on my tonsil, which in turn resulted in me needing my tonsils out shortly after Turkey Day.
I was trying to keep up with work and then finally deciding it wasn't worth it and I needed to start a job search in the New Year.
And hockey - I got to cover a Sabres game (dream come true!) in January. Makes me wish I was back in Buffalo because of my new publication and my connection with the PR dept. there I could cover all their games!!! But, I feel I'm not done with Philly yet, and that's fine because I have a blast here.
I also trekked down to Norfolk, VA a few times to see the Admirals and visit with a friend playing down there.
So that is me in a nutshell right now... hoping my friends read my entries again and like I said, it's a great way for me to get caught up and get some things off my chest so I don't melt down!
The plan today seems rather uneventful, so unless some major thing happens you may just be hearing about my love for D later - which heads up! May be a long entry.
I have a second i'view for a job with company locally that I really, really want at 1 PM. So fingers and toes crossed for me. I will then hit the post office, then very likely can be found at he gym as I've been trying very hard to get in shape and go at least once, sometimes two times a day.
So happy Tuesday to all - I'm gonna scoot and comment in some of your journals and I'll hop on again later.
