Catchin' Up
This month is the last of our fiscal year at work so during the week I've been running around like a mad woman. I don't think too many exciting things have occurred, so I will try to keep everything in a nutshell for you. I emphasize "try" because, well you know me.
*I won pit tickets to the "WMMR-beque" which was the kick off of summer concert season put on by the local rock station. Flyleaf, The Exies, Chevelle, Fuel, Buckcherry, Evanesence and Velvet Revolver. I took Jersey Boy with me and we had a blast. The highlights? Buckcherry (best band of the day in my opinion) and seeing Slash playing guitar literally a foot in front of us. Very cool.
*Jersey Boy. He perplexes me. I like him, but I'm confused. While at the show he made a comment about meeting my family and roommate and he extended the invitation for me to go down to the Outer Banks with he and his family next week. Of course I can't. I can't get the time off work, and I don't know if I would have even gone if I could. Too much, too soon in my opinion. However, despite this I feel like I'm the one always calling, texting, making our plans, etc. I don't know if he just talks a good game, or if he's backed off because he thinks I don't like him because I didn't like the whole meeting the parents/week vacation together ideas.
*Thursday in the Square sched is out - which means many a long weekend (hopefully) this summer up in B-lo. I am in for Sam Roberts July 5th! PARTY!
*The fam came down Memorial Day weekend to spend it with me and everything went beautifully. We just went shopping and out to eat at a couple local places, but it was so nice having them here for a change. I miss them terribly. It made me sad when they left.
*I did put my father to work - but I had his fave foods and beer on hand to compensate. I got a new head and foot board at Ikea, we put blinds in my office and he helped me hang some pics. :)
*I have the house to myself the rest of this week and don't know what to do. Amy is out of town down in Myrtle Beach with her fam until late Saturday when she returns. The quiet is nice and I think I'll get a lot done while she's gone. When she's here we're usually at the gym, at the park, out, etc. However, I do miss her! I had my fam here the whole weekend while she was gone so now it's just me and the cats!
*Friday night - Hershey, PA - Game 1 Hershey vs. Hamilton. Calder Cup Finals baby. It's hockey - live and in person. It's Hershey, which means CCM and I get to piss off Pistol and Hamilton which means I get to flirt with my favorite league announcer. ;) Woo!
*New office pal. The new guy on our team went on a ride day with me today which was very successful. We have a lot in common. I was pleasantly surprised.
Okay... so that's the past two weeks. I'm off to catch up on your entries and comment. Feel free to do so with mine! :) More soon. I'm off to the gym later tonight. It's still too crowded early in the evenings despite the nice weather. And I may try to call Jersey Boy again. I gotta figure this guy out before he drives me nuts like the rest of them have!
