This has been the weekend of me and Michael against the world. That means that everyone who we know that lives on our floor left us. But it's ok because I have had enough homework (and avoidance tactics) to fill my days and cool people like Elisabeth, Molly, Lizz, and Eric to occupy my nights.
Today I spent a large amount of time on the phone with random family members. I miss them a lot lately. I have been giving everyone guilt trips about mail so I think my uncle is finally planning on sending something. Hooray! I heart mail.
I actually DID do homework today (both Emily and Nona called and yelled at me to do it) but I have plenty more for tomorrow. Hopefully I can get it all done before everyone gets back so I can spend my time visiting and distracting them from their catch-up time.
I do wish I could have gone home to celebrate my Dad's birthday this weekend but hopefully he knows that I miss him and will come home when I have a better weekend. It is just hard to go home on the weekends because there is barely enough time to be home and definitely not enough time to finish homework too. Regardless, I hope everyone that did go home/to other places had a great time!
Last night Michael and I had a Wal-mart party. We ran into Neel there and met her mom and brother. That was pretty cool. When Michael and I were eating dinner we watched part of the "Wedding Singer" on tv. When Elisabeth got back from U of I, we watched the full movie at her apartment with brief sightings of Lizz, Eric, Julie, and Siege. It was a lovely time. Tonight was "eating out night". Molly, Elisabeth, Michael, and I had a romantic dinner at Steak and Shake before heading to "the Palace" (better known as the eyesore in the middle of the corn fields) to watch "Just Like Heaven". It was cute and Mark Ruffalo was hot, so I guess I'll put that in the pro column. We had a good time and laughed a lot so in all, my weekend has been a success.
Tomorrow = homework. Tonight = workout. P.S. I miss the air conditioner.
