Actually, I don't really think that we should use our law enforcement officials to be a security guard at a casino. I think that they should hire their own just like everyone else does.

I asked him about this one night when we got stuck working in master control together. He told me that the biggest thing that bothered him was that he was a youth leader at his church. He had a child in his group whose father had a gambling problem. They had just lost their house and his/her parents were now going through a really hard time becuase of it. They were living with family ect ect.
His problem was that he didn't feel that he could look any of these people in the eye if they knew that his bonus was coming from a casino.
He asked nicely to be assigned somewhere else and they freaked out on him. I believe it.
He's not the kind of guy who would make up stuff or use this to get out of something. He really is a wholesome all around outstanding human being.
I laughed when I first heard of this a few years ago and thought yeah right. ( like you probably did ) But after talking to him, I was forced to take his side on the matter.
That's okay, I'm happy he's on our department. We need more people like him.

see, i've never heard of a casino using police men. only people who were off dudy like they do for store closings and raves and such. i dont think it's right either. and i agree: they should hire their own like everyone else does.
and yes, the world as a whole needs more people like him. and i didnt doubt his niceness, just the situation. and since papaers only tend to report on one side of the matter, i'm glad you are a resorse for me:)
