To say Eliot was feeling a little awkward and a little off his game was... actually about acurate. It wasn't nearly as bad as last night when he'd just kind of followed Buffy back to his place and gone upstairs, showered, and gone to bed without training or anything. Though fighting with a slayer was pretty good pre bed calisthenics ( ... )

Eliot grinned at Buffy's complaint. "Hello, thief? We've met before I think." He said with a return bit of snarkyness of his own as he walked further into the room, watching her file papers with a grin of amusement ( ... )

Spike had been wandering about the offices, wondering where his various talents could do the most good, but he wasn't finding anything that seemed terribly interesting. However, the sound of Buffy conversing with someone who sounded a whole hell of a lot like Lindsey certainly caught his attention, until he remembered the P.A. that had gone out about there being a new guy who was in no way, shape, or form Lindsey McDonald, all appearances aside ( ... )

"Uhh, yeah you are a theif, obviously. You're already trying to steal my office." She said in regards to him sitting on the couch. He looked rather comfortable. Buffy let out a laugh and she went to the desk, picking up another folder. "I'm just kidding, make yourself at home, Eliot." She was probably going to regret saying that ( ... )

Buffy noticed Spike walked in, and her eyes rolled.

"No one knows how to knock around here. Seriously, I've had my office for one day and the madness begins."

This was too funny. Buffy grinned and continued to shuffle through papers.

"I was just attacked by a paper demon, where were you to save me Spike?"

Her head tilted and brow quirked. She wasn't even thinking about introducing the two. It hadn't really crossed her mind. But now at least Eliot knew that this was Spike -- and Spike had been talked about in conversation.

"You've never celebrated Christmas." Oh, she called him out.

Eliot was getting used to the thief jokes by now. He was also more or less used to and comfortable with the way they seemed to tease and rib at each other. It was actually kind of nice to return to after the mess of last night.

He wince a little at her remark and shrugged. "Just a little B."

He had reached a filing cabinent and was beginning to try to get a feeling of the system when Spike walked in.

Eliot's first response was to register a vampire. Then when Buffy failed to even look slightly alarmed (or anything besides vaugely annoyed he'd entered uninvited) he let it go.

Souled vampires. Who would have thought?

Eliot grinned at Buffy's comment on the paper demon and slid a file into place, looking over with a little interest as the two interacted over the office but with this vampire not a threat he didn't feel the need to get involved right away.

Of course when he asked about Eliot's office Eliot shook his head. "Nah, don't really want one either. Last time I had an office it got blown up."

He had poor luck with offices it

"A paper demon?" Spike asked, letting a ridiculous amount of shock and awe into his voice. "Why, Slayer, I don't know how you survived. They'll tell tales of you for centuries to come! How'd you do it? Light it on fire?"

Well, they probably would, whoever they were, but it probably wouldn't be for her masterful defeat of a paper demon ( ... )

Buffy looked at Eliot, strangely another thing in common. Horrible office experiences. She had to tell him the story now.

"Yeah, I have some pretty horrifying office experiences myself. I was a guidence councelor for Sunnydale High. My office didn't explode, but there were zombies, students dissapearing and .. spontaniously combusting. It's a long story."

Buffy took a sip of her tea and watched Eliot try to sort stuff out for her. Her brows rose and she looked to Spike, who was looking to Eliot as if he were sizing up the competion. Buffy decided to get Spike's blood running -- well not literally because he was a vampire, but Buffy wanted to be sure of something.

"Oh Spike, Eliot here is my secretary."

No, Eliot was not her secretary. Spike would probably know that Angel would know better than to give Buffy a handsome, male secretary, but the thought was funny for about a minute or so. She was quiet for a few moments to let it sink into Spikes head and then she looked to Eliot ( ... )

Eliot grinned at Buffy's story about her office troubles. It was nice to know he was not alone though maybe it was a sign they should hang out somewhere other than her office. If nothing else there apeared to be a mysterious paper demon running around giving people paper cuts and causing chaos ( ... )

"What?" Spike almost yelled. "Not only do you get a bloody office almost on your first bleeding day, but Peaches gives you a-" He stopped. Angel would never do that. He might give her a secretary, if Buffy begged and pleaded and she legitimately needed one, but a male secretary who happened to be one of the special recruits? No ( ... )

"It's alright Eliot. It was tough love. I'll play nice next time, I promise."

Her, play nice? Hah!

Buffy looked at Spike blankly and kept quiet, when suddenly she started laughing rather deviously. He had totally bought the secretary thing.

"Hey love, ever notice how the dots on the ceiling spell out 'gullible'?" The love was said half meaningfully, but she did her best to mock him. Then, he had noticed her hair -- and just like any girl would, she forgot everything that had happened before his poking fun at her ( ... )

Eliot grinned at Spike ruefully, willing to take some ribbing at getting his ass handed to him since, apparently, he wasn't alone. "I can kinda imagine." He muttered in answer to Spike's question absently brushing at the bruise on his cheek. "Tough love." He shook his head at Buffy. "Remind me never ta piss you off B. I'd hate ta see whatcha did ta guys who you hate ( ... )

Spike thought about the paper cut issue, tilting his head to the side as he considered it. "It might work. If you were very determined and worked at it for a few hours. And no, paper demons don't actually exist, not to my knowledge, but I wouldn't rule it out. You know as soon as we do, one will pop out of a dimensional gate just to spite us."

Well, any sane person would hate to be on the receiving end of Buffy's rage, and he'd been there more than once. The time behind the police station, it had taken him over a week to heal, which was saying something, considering healing was usually almost instantaneous. "It's not pretty," he assured Eliot. "Been there once or twice myself."

He looked the hitter up and down for a moment. "Looks like he can hold his own. Not exactly fair to pit him against a Slayer though."

"Oh, I don't have time for that. I'll just stick with the ol' stake 'em in the heart routine." Buffy walked over to the filing cabinet she was working on. Eliot's help was making her work go by much quicker and the pile on the desk was no longer a replica of the leaning tower of 'pizza'. She looked to Eliot, "Spike's right. You can never be too sure."

Buffy grabbed a piece of paper and a sharpie off of the desk and drew what she thought a paper demon would look like, the piece of paper being the body.

"I think they look like this, if you see one -- let me know asap."

The drawings on the piece of paper were just a facial expression:

>:O and little arms that looked like >-- --< towards the edge of the sides of the paper. She should post it in the breakroom, have you seen this demon ( ... )
