Angel stopped advancing forward, not because he was eyeing everything within a fifty foot radius in looking for something to stake with him (you didn't live as long as he did and not know that look), but because Gunn seemed to be offering some sort of an explanation. OK, so what exactly is going on then, if this guy isn't Lindsey back, AGAIN!

"Alright, Gunn," he said to his friend. "Please, tell me a good reason as to why this isn't Lindsey McDonald standing before me." He even smelled like Lindsey to him. Not that weird isn't what happened to them all the time, it's just that twins had actually never happened before. Really, never.

Well, at least that had diffused a little bit. And now there was a girl coming out of the ceiling. Really, could they ever have a normal day in this place?

What, why was he even thinking that? Of course they couldn't.

Gunn pulled the file out of the stack on the desk and opened it. "His name...well, the name he goes by is Eliot Spencer. He's really and truly not Lindsey, that much I promise. He just...happens to look exactly like him." He slapped the folder shut and handed it to Angel.

"Now start acting like a normal person. We should probably go ahead and get started with this stuff." Obviously this world was upside down. Gunn had become the cool and level headed one.

Fred walked down the hall towards the meeting room then turned back, took two steps back towards her lab before she turned herself right back around and kept walking. It was a meeting that was all a business meeting... she didn't have time to deal with who she would or would not like to run into... end of the world stuff here... she pushed her red cats-eye glasses up her nose and adjusted her lab coat, she was a professional... with that in mind she took the last steps to the meeting room.

"Am I late?" She asked noting the disorder.

"Thanks for the newsflash." Eliot said to Gunn without taking his eyes off Angel. "Name's Eliot Spencer, retrival specalist. I've done work for Wolfram and Hart before, swore never ta do it again and with this kinda reception I can't imagine why. Someone said somethin' about the apocolypse so I came anyway but there's a vampire who just tried ta kill me an' now one of my team's in the room. Parker, darlin' stay away from this guy. I don't know what your game is but it'd be awfully nice if someone could explain what's going on."

As he spoke he shifted and started moving a little closer to Parker. Of the team he had the most confidence in Parker's ability to take care of herself but there was at least one vampire in the room and his stance and posture said he was an older one. Even Eliot had trouble with vampires, there was a reason for slayers afterall. He protected the team, that was his job. Even if this was way off the clock he was not about to let Parker get killed by some vampire.

"Hi Eliot, I'm Fred!" she said and stretched out her hand to the obviously fellow southerner, "Errr... Winifred Burkle but everyone just calls me Fred." She laughed a little nervously, she was terrible with formalities, she had never been that good and spending five years in hell then another with Charles hadn't improved her any.

“A vampire?” A big grin spread across Parker’s face and her eyes lit up like a little kid who was about to sit on Santa’s lap. “Really??” She was sometimes prone to inappropriate reactions. Though she was enthusiastic about meeting a real, live-- er, dead, vampire she remained with her feet planted next to Eliot, just to remain a little bit cautious. She wasn’t sure what kind of vampire this Angel was.

“Do you sparkle?” She tilted her head, looking at Angel curiously.

"And yet here you are, doing work again," Angel pointed out to Eliot. So, just as annoying as Lindsey? Seemed like. He looked at Gunn. "Are you sure it's not him?" If it was Lindsey, well, then it was OK to kick the crap out of him.

He made a face at Parker. "No I do not sparkle." Stupid books. He hated those things. "Vampires do *not* sparkle. We also don't go around in the daylight, either." Lamest set of vampires, ones that sparkle. Really, that Mormon woman was insane.

He sighed. "Hi, Fred," he said to her as she came into the room. "Thanks for coming in." He wasn't sure where everyone else was at the moment, though.

"No, it's really not him, Angel," Gunn pointed out. "And you should be more gracious. I just saved you from being thrown out a window. He thinks you're a guy who just tried to kill him...again. Which, by the way, you are a dead ringer for." So much so that it was kind of creepy.

The girl asking Angel if he sparkled, though, made Gunn crack up. "Oh yeah, I can just see you sparkling while waiting outside of some poor white girl's window at night, just watching her sleep or something extra creepy like that." Wait...didn't he do that with his Slayer girlfriend? Damn. Oh well.

He waved to Fred and smiled at her when she came into the room. "Welcome to the party," he said to her.

Eliot took a deep breath, resisting the temptation to point out that it was hard to feel grateful for someone saving you from being killed when all you did to almost get killed was fly halfway across the country against your better judgment because hey, you didn't mess around with the apocalypse.

He also resisted the temptation to as Hardison would put it, punch something.

He did, however grudgingly, give the guy a point or two for answering Parker's question about Sparkling vampires and saveing him from having to do so himself later. He could only take so much frustration in one day.

Keeping a mental track on the vampire Eliot turned to the newly arrived, and much more friendly, young woman and smiled somewhat friendrily in return. "Good afternoon Ms. Burkel, would ya like me ta call ya Fred?"

"Hi guys," Fred said to Gunn and Angel.

"Yeah that would be helpful," she answered Eliot with a grin showing off teeth. "People calling me Ms. Burkle just makes me nervous... sparkling vampires?" Fred looked to Parker, "well I guess if you consider immolation sparkling..." Fred wrinkled her nose in thought. "They both admit light so that's sorta close... right?" she looked to Angel for confirmation.

"Fred it is then." He said with a nod, letting Fred continue her explanation, not sure whether it would further confuse the theif or answer questions he might have had to answer later.

After it looked like she was done he asked her, as gently as he could. "Excuse me Fred, but could you please tell me who the rest of these people are an' why the vampire's gone from tryin' ta kill me to explaining vampires to Parker? I think I'm missin' something here and we'd might all get along better if I knew what was goin' on."

He hoped at least, otherwise he this would be a very tense end of the world.

"Oh this is Charles Gunn, he's in charge of the lawyering here, and this is Angel he..he tried to kill you?" Fred asked suddenly, "Angel you haven't been having sex or on happy pills or any of those things that would cause you to you know... go evil, have you?" Fred asked looking very very worried.

Eliot nodded to Charles Gunn, Gunn... that was what they'd been calling him. Head of the Lawyers here. Not the best recommendation Eliot had ever heard but he'd save judgments for later. Generally speaking this hadn't been the best introduction to anyone here, except maybe Parker and Fred.

Then Fred turned her attention onto the Vampire and it became somewhat clear why they were the only ones doing well with introductions.

Judging from Fred's words Parker wasn't the only twenty pounds of crazy in a five pound bag located in the room.

It was offical. The world was doomed.

Then he processed both the name Angel (and it couldn't be THAT vampire) and the fact she was asking him if he'd gone evil.

"So he's not normally evil?" Eliot asked, the words sounding rediculous even in his ears. Eliot visibly relaxed a little for the first time since Angel attacked him. "Shouldnt someone have mentioned that?"

Harmony came out of the kitchen area with a overly large mug of warm blood and started to the conference room.
"Can I get anything for anyone else?"
She asked and took a sip from the mug which had tinkerbell on it and was a pale green.
"Beverage....? Food? Anything?"
She asked, standing next to the doorway.
