Rain suits the mood today..
It's sad to see so many people leaving campus on this rainy day to attend a funeral of one of their peers. John Botto, a member of the TKE fraternity on our campus passed away on Sunday due to, ultimately, liver and kidney complications. Sunday night, we held mass in his memory and the homily was replaced by a very uplifting speech about Botto and his life on this campus. Although I did not know him personally, many of my friends did know him quite well and it pains me to see them grieve. I just can't imagine what John's parents must be going through. To loose a child or even just to loose a friend so early is something that I would never wish upon even my worst of enemies. Rain truly suits the mood today as the campus mourns the loss of one of it's own. It brings back some very painful memories. I hope everyone comes through this ok... I guess there is really nothing else I can say. It's all just so very sad.
