Saints

It's beautiful outside today, a wonderful autumn day and just right for the start of November and All Saints Day :)

I have the day off today, haven't done much so far today. Gavin was running late again this morning, so he persuaded me to run him into Solihull. I don't mind really, I rarely sleep late anyway, unlike some I could mention!

Monday and Tuesday were pretty busy days at work, I'd swapped with Sonia onto the East Midlands instead of the Snow Hill. I didn't regret it as, dispite the moaning and groaning I did at the time, I actually quite like it being busy, makes the day go a bit quicker I find.
Tuesday, my new gaffer, Sean Malone, came into the building for a meeting with Steve Law (my present gaffer). It was good to meet him. He chatted to Clive and I for a good half an hour, and seemed very honest and approachable which will be a refreshing change! He did say he was going to try and get into the Mailbox once a week to see us lot, but I won't hold my breath. I don't mind really, as long as he's available on the phone and pops in every now and again!

Yesterday both Gav and I were off work so got up late and decided to go to Merry Hill in the afternoon, purely because Gav had noticed that a Computer Exchange shop (a shop where people trade in DVDs/Games/CDs for cash and can buy them second hand) had just opened up there. We didn't actually buy very much in there this time, we spent more in "Au Naturalle" a homewear shop on one of the estates around Merry Hill. I love that place, especially since the one there is way bigger than the one in Solihull and the Begger's bush.

So after the drive home we settled down to watch a Horror film (well it was Hallowe'en I guess) called Black Christmas. It was quite gory and violent (which I can cope with more than psychological stuff) but some of the themes in it were just too twisted for my mind (I won't spoil the plot by writing what they were, just in case any of you sick bitches actually want to watch it at some point) so I asked Gav if we could switch it off. So we watched Family Guy instead, the feature length one called "The Untold story of Stewie Griffin". So funny, just like the whole series. If you've never seen Family Guy, you must. It's so intelligent and very very funny.

Anyway, best head off, I have to mop the kitchen, hall and bathroom floors, how glamourous! :)

films, family guy, work
