Yet another poem for Poetry Month

Apr 16, 2008 19:36

Here is yet another one of my poems for the month:

The Wind Blows Silently

The wind blows silently throughout the night

I am alone no other soul insight

Floating freely through the air,

drifting happily with a care

Then the darkness did inclose

moving silently as the wind blows

The wind blows silently throughout the night

as I search desperately for the light

Slowly sinking to the floor,

in despair to rise no more

Lost in darkness so cold and deep,

longing for eternal sleep

Behold,

the coming of the Lord

The wind blows silently, but there is no night

I am surrounded by the Light

Darkness no longer can come in,

banished forever, with all sin
