Masterlist - Customized Bears
My complete list of finished customized teddy bears - called Furlings by some - is in here. I will be keeping it updated with each one I do. The bears are all store bought, but all the clothing and accessories were made by me, from patterns to execution, except where I could supplement Build-a-Bear items for things that are harder to construct like glasses and shoes.
Since all these bears are made to look like characters from tv/movies/what have you, they will be separated by series.
Stargate SG1:
Daniel
Made from a Build-a-Bear. His green uniform is made of cotton broadcloth and the boonie is made of felt covered in broadcloth. He has all appropriate SG1 patches on her shoulders, which I made with dark t-shirt transfers. His glasses and shoes are from Build-a-Bear
Mini Sam
Made from a 12 inch bear from Toys R Us. She was auctioned in a lot with mini Jack, Daniel and Teal'c for the 2009 dragon*con Stargate Charity Auction. Her green uniform is made of cotton broadcloth and her boots and vest are made of felt. She has all appropriate SG1 patches on her shoulders, which I made with dark t-shirt transfers.
Mini Jack
Made from a 12 inch bear from Micheal's. He was auctioned in a lot with mini Sam, Daniel and Teal'c for the 2009 dragon*con Stargate Charity Auction. His green uniform is made of cotton broadcloth and his boots, cap and vest are made of felt. He has all appropriate SG1 patches on his shoulders, which I made with dark t-shirt transfers.
Mini Daniel
Made from a 12 inch bear from Toys R Us. He was auctioned in a lot with mini Sam, Jack and Teal'c for the 2009 dragon*con Stargate Charity Auction. His green uniform is made of cotton broadcloth and his boots and vest are made of felt. His boonie is made of felt covered in broadcloth. Mini Teal'c
Made from a 12 inch bear from Toys R Us. He was auctioned in a lot with mini Sam, Jack and Daniel for the 2009 dragon*con Stargate Charity Auction. His green uniform is made of cotton broadcloth and his boots and vest are made of felt. I cut and sewed a tan fleece pouch into his belly and made a polymer clay goa-uld Junior to put in there. His emblem was done with fabric paint. He has all appropriate SG1 patches on his shoulders, which I made with dark t-shirt transfers.
Stargate Atlantis:
John Shepperd
Made from a Build-a-Bear. His grey uniform is made of broadcloth and his vest is made of felt and he has all appropriate Atlantis patches on his shoulders, which I put on using dark t-shirt transfers. He has a felt lemon in his pocket in case Rodney starts to get on his nerves. His aviators and shoes are from Build-a-Bear.
Rodney Mckay

Made from a Build-a-Bear. His grey uniform is made of broadcloth, his shirt is made of blue jersey and his vest is made of felt and he has all appropriate Atlantis patches on his shoulders, which I put on using dark t-shirt transfers. He has a cloth life signs detector in his pocket, as well as cue cards and a power bar in case he gets hungry, which he will. His shoes are from Build-a-Bear.
Radek Zelenka
Made from a Build-a-Bear. His grey uniform is made of broadcloth, his shirt is made of blue jersey and he has all appropriate Atlantis patches on his shoulders, which I put on using dark t-shirt transfers. His shoes and glasses are from Build-a-Bear.

Elizabeth Weir
Made from a Build-a-Bear. Her grey uniform is made of broadcloth and she has all appropriate Atlantis patches on his shoulders, which I put on using dark t-shirt transfers. Her shoes are from Build-a-Bear and she is wearing a red flower on her ear because a)Lizzy likes red and b)there was no other way to really tell she is a girl.
Teyla Immagan
Made from a Build-a-Bear. Her grey uniform is made of broadcloth and she has all appropriate Atlantis patches on his shoulders, which I put on using dark t-shirt transfers. Her shirt is made of quilters fabric with vertical gathers and black fleece lacing. Her shoes are from Build-a-Bear.
Ronon Dex
By far my most detailed and badass bear. His jacket is broadcloth, his chaps are made from a snakeskin patterned fabric, his shirt is corduroy. His boots are from Build-a-Bear. His tooth and Wraith finger necklaces are made of polymer clay, as is his sword and his gun, which you can't see too well in those pictures. His sword's hilt is wrapped in twine and the sheath is made of fleece. His belt and gun holster are felt, as are his dreads, which I had to open his head to put on, one at a time. He also has his Satedan tattoo, which I put on his little bear neck with fabric paint, and a bracelet of wooden beads. All his jewelry is strung on hemp. I'm quite proud of him, but I can honestly say that I never want to make him again.
Sadly, right now I only really have Stargate inspired bears, though I do hope to add more different fandoms.
