This weekend was nice. I took it easy Friday and Saturday before we went to Mary's house. Mary is my friend from school, the other teacher. We got to try out Cajun food, Louisiana style. Mary was afraid we would hate it but we actually liked it. I loved it to be more exact, especially the Cajun taters, shrimp, and sausage balls. Even picky Jason liked it!! We had fun and played some cards. They re-taught me how to play Rook. This was funny. Mary cheats! ;) She cheated a bit to help me out on her team. I could not remember the first thing about the game. LOL Sunday flew by. We need to go to church but we are lazy.
Today I was not ready to go back to school. I had to rush and finish my portfolio stuff I put off. Now I am glad it is done, at least for now... My little man was not his best today to say the least. He threw a huge fit for everyone to watch in the cafeteria, even the ladies came out from the kitchen to look. He is a little devil but at the same time I like his little butt. Funny....
Oh! I cooked tonight, fajitas, and it was a yummy meal. It came out so well, Jason took the leftovers for his lunch/dinner/breakfast break. I spent over an hour cutting, cooking, and it wasn't so bad. I even made peach cobbler that Mary taught me how to make. it is a little watery from the juice but still good. next time I will drain the juice. My general mood has improved a tiny bit lately, not a huge about but any amount is progress. I think if we were financially more stable it would be a lot better. As of now, we are struggling even though I make a better wage than I ever have before. Loans have come due and medical bills which add to the problem.
