school and cedar point

Overall, this has been a pretty good week. I'm excited about my classes this semester, and I think I'm going to do pretty well. I am promising myself I will go out less and study more. I love to go out and socialize, hang out with my friends, meet new people, etc etc etc. But there comes a point when that becomes too much.

Being in college and being a student are two different things as a good friend once pointed out. There are those who go to class and do the bare minimum to pass (or not pass). Then there are those who actually spend a good amount of their free time being a student; studying, spending time perfecting homework assigments, and attending all of their classes. I am trying hard this semester to make sure I take time to be a student, and not just have fun with my friends and let school fall somewhere thereafter.

This weekend I am going to cedar point with some of my tri sigma ladies and some of the phi kappa taus. Two groups canceled at last minute notice for cedar point and our chapter really needed the money, so we decided to go. I am really proud of the girls who stepped up and decided to come. Some of them had to sacrifice a lot, including working until 2am only to get in a car and drive through the night to work all day for the next two days straight. I am proud to call these women my sisters, and I hope for our next trip even more girls will volunteer to help. I also have to thank the phi taus for helping out at such last minute notice. Everyone really appreciates it, and I'm excited for the time our groups will get to spend together :-)

Well thats it for now, I have class at 1 and then I'm going straight to cedar point. Call me and say hi, it's gonna be a lonnnnggg weekend!
