Robby and I went and looked at that 89 acres of land today. Yes, it was pretty but no, we aren't buying it. First off, a lot would have to be done to it. Secondly, the sisters are asking too much for it. The guy who told Robby about it told him that it would be sold for any price. When we were talking to the man out there, he said that some man from North Carolina offered them $2500/acre and they turned him down. There's no way we could pay for something like that and then not have a house to live in. I'm glad that it fell through though. I was very uneasy about that!
Good thing- We were looking online at local real estate agents websites and we found a house that we both would love.
http://resource.realtor.com/display/default.asp?sect=13&page=mylisting/listingDetail.asp&id=16936773&listingid=1039203183&rt=201252 should take you to it. If it does not, it is listing number 61617. It's a 5 bedroom 3 bath house, sitting on 5 acres of land. It's kind of out in the middle of no where, but it's closer than Seminary was.
We went to look at this house and we both really liked the outside (what we could see). It sits up off of the road on a tall hill. My only problem is the fact that the driveway (we had to drive up the driveway to actually see the house) is really curvy and the brush is nearly IN the driveway. It would also have to be paved or something. It seems like a really nice house though. We couldn't believe the price when we saw it, either. He's finding out when he has to work again and then we're going to call Norma back and set up an appointment to be able to actually go look at it.
Just thought I'd update some..
