On Sunday, my friend and I were driving back to Austin after spending lots of quality time with our families. Well, we were driving through San Marcos when the road got a little bumpy...at least, I thought it was the road. After about 20 seconds of the bumpiness, I told Laura that I was going to pull over and make sure it wasn't my tires. BAM! Right at that second, my tire completely blew and my car started to swerve in the lane. Luckily, I was able to pull over before I hit anything (or anyone). The car absolutely reeked of burnt rubber, and when I got out of my car to check the tire, I saw that it had completely exploded...there were seriously pieces all down the highway. We were freaked out and just sat in the car in the dark with the doors locked and the radio blaring. I called my dad, who said he would meet me up in San Marcos, then I called the Texas Roadside Assistance number (which is on the back of everyone's driver's license) and got connected to the San Marcos PD. The officer that came out to help me was sooooo nice. He helped me get off the highway, joked around with me and Laura, and then changed my tire for me. I am now totally in love with the San Marcos PD!
Later today I'll post the Rascal Flatts Rodeo pics!
