Paige was working hard during her office hours.

If 'working hard' equaled watching the America's Next Top Model premiere on her computer.

Piper didn't feel like going to her classes, and she certainly wasn't ready to go back to the hotel. Still, she was tired of lying to her family everytime they asked if she was okay, so she didn't feel like being at the Manor either. She knew there was one family member who probably wouldn't nag her so much.

"Hey," she greeted, standing just outside Paige's office door.

Paige paused her show and looked up with a smile. "Hey, Piper," she said. "What brings you to town?"

Piper shrugged, still standing outside the room. "Just thought I'd stop by, see how you're doing. And, if you need any more help with your class. Or something."

Or just to be somewhere else.

Okay, Paige might not know this Piper that well, but she liked to think she knew her Piper pretty well and she was getting a very strong vibe that there was something going on she wasn't saying.

"Come on in," she said. "Have a seat. Want some coffee or tea or something?"

"Tea's good," Piper replied, taking a seat across from her. "I'd appreciate that. Been sorta cutting back on coffee."

And anything with high amounts of caffeine lately.

"Let me put on the electric kettle," Paige said, getting up and doing just that.

"So, what's really going on?"

"Why would you think something's going on?" Piper asked, staring at the floor.

"Because I know you," Paige said. "Well, not you you, but my you and I can tell something is bothering you."

Piper smiled slightly because that sentence made complete sense to her. The smile faded, though. "I had a really bad weekend."

Paige nodded. "Door," she said, waving her hand so the door would shut. "You want to talk about it?"

"No. Yes. I don't know." Piper did not want to cry, but that was a battle she was starting to lose. Usually she was the one who kept it together. Not this time.

The tea kettle whistled and Paige jumped up to turn it off. She'd make the tea in a minute. First, she had the feeling Piper needed a hug.

Piper clung to Paige. Yeah, hugs were good. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to be such a mess. But...I can't talk to anyone else about it."

Not yet, at least.

"Don't apologize," Paige said. "That's what big sisters are for. At least that's what my Piper keeps telling me."

Piper managed a small smile at that. "Other me makes a lot of sense, then."

"Let me make you tea and then you can tell me all about it," Paige said.
