I took a sick day today:
It's not an official day off from work, it's a 'sick day.' I had one child sleep all day in my class, barely able top open her eyes (a cold). I had one child bust her lip open when she planted her face into the floor (misbehavior). I had another child puke more than an UMSL sorority girl will this weekend in Soulard. I think I deserve a sick day.
I also have a lot of stuff to take care of, such as interview preps, job applications, etc.
When I was six years old, and a Girl Scout, my mom started the tradition of Girl Scout cookies for breakfast. Whenever we first got the boxes, we had cookies for breakfast the next day. Today was that day.
I bought glasses off of the internet, and that was the best glasses shopping experience of my life. I only spent 15 dollars, too.
I have a student who gives me trashy magazines his mom gets at her salon. By trashy, I mean "OK" and "Teen Vogue." I actually have started looking forward to magazine day.
I really wish I was one of those people who was into "tea." I like it, I drink it to stay hydrated. I would just rather have a cup of coffee.
And now I'm going to watch Rent while I fill out job applications. I love me some Taye Diggs.
