Honours!
So, as far as I can make out, honours in Ancient History next year is go!
I haven't actually done all the required courses, but with majors (5 years' worth of majorness, at that)in both Ancient and Latin, apparently I'm a shoo-in.
Yay overqualified!
In a celebratory spirit for this academia, I've changed my av to Marilyn Monroe in How to Marry a Millionaire, looking just like my soul looks when it looks at honours: wearing glasses for academic-lookingness, but just a tiny bit "golly gee, thought? Little ole me?",and with perhaps an inappropriate outfit.
In other news, yesterday my family went out for a yay-end-of degree celebratory dinner, which was lovely. The restaurant had a special Bastille Day (well, week before-bastille-day) Celebratory french degustation menu, which was really cool and great. And I got given a brooch by my parents, which is so lovely. It's antique, and has holly and mistletoe in french enamel and rubies and pearls, and even tiny diamonds (!) it is, in fact, a ball of lovely, and dates from sometime 19th C -Belle Epoque. So nifty.
Also, tonight is the much-feted Harry Potter outing, so after I finish work, there will be dress-up fun, and much rejoicing.
