Hello Project 2010 Winter ~Shuffle Date~

aka The Concert I Didn't Have a Ticket to Until Last Minute.

But I'll talk about that later, first let me get to concert highlights.
***

First off, Junjun is totally gay for Captain Saki from Berryz.  So for Shuffle Date they apparently have a MC segment where one of the girls in the "support group" of girls sitting at the side of the stage talks about some "behind the scenes information" on one of the other members.  Eri's topic was Junjun.  She mentioned how JJ is always gushing about Captain Saki, on how she is "So cool" and her dancing is "So great".  And it seems to never stop even when they're not doing concerts together.  But then one day during one of the joint tours (she didn't say if it was this one or not) Junjun walked into Momusu dressing room carrying something shyly in her hands and acting all girly about it.  When asked she said "Saki-chan gave it to me" all cutely and started gushing more about her.

Meanwhile Junjun is sitting on the other side of the stage (the support group was split in two, one seating area on either end of the stage) and is blushing/shining with this weird grin on her face and in her eyes.  Which made Gaki-san burst out something that took away any of my remaining like for her "Eww JunJun you're disgusting!" because she was sitting next to her.  But then Reina and Eri called from the other side of the stage "Well, what do you have to say?  Don't you have a confession to make?"  And Junjun stood up up and looked at Saki, who was also standing kinda awkwardly.  "Yes, I love you Saki!"  Saki smiled and said thankyou.  And Junjun was just glowing.  It was so adorable, even if Gaki was an ass during it.  They were filming for the DVD tonight so that better make it on.

Other highlights, let's see...

I love Uwaki na Honey Pie so seeing that as the opening number was great.  It's a fun one to dance along to.  But dammit Junjun, again with the Koharu hair.  Stop trying to revive Koharu!  The outfits were color coordinated to each group, Viyuuden was actually dark blue for the opening numbers.  They were kinda like vinyl/shiny fabric with white/gold frill.  No I don't remember clearly, only Junjun gushing over my other favorite tomboyish girl stuck in my mind... I'm sorry. It's just they're both hot.

The Viyuuden outfits were these fabulous red devil type vinyl dresses, which they sang Only You in while caressing their mic stands and then jumped around in circles in for Koisuru Angel Heart.  I can't wait for the live pictures of those to come out for sale.

Love Like Crazy was another song I'd always wanted to see live and Captain Saki didn't disappoint me.  She's certainly grown out of her awkward stage and into a sexy young woman with a lot of spunk.  I love it and hope more people come to appreciate her in the future.  Suki Sugite Baka Mitai was also great. I'd only ever seen that performed by Rika as a solo number during the Viyuuden tour I went to, but this time's performance in similar gold shorts and vests lived up to the original four girls.  Maasa is looking better and better.  She was also voted to have the "prettiest lips" by other members in the "Rank the best 3 of anything!" MC corner.  Coincidentally Linlin ranked herself... AGAIN.  The way MC Makoto said it was "And once again someone voted for herself" *camera pans closer and closer into Linlin until she notices and gives some excuse of how the Chinese diet makes their lips really full and beautiful.*  Which yes it does, to my JJ ^^

The t-shirts Aa! wore with their own pictures in pastel colors were really cute, something I wish they would actually sell.  The pink fire streak on a white background shirts all the girls wore for the final song were also really cute.  Other notable outfits included High King's purple robes with long scarves (similar to what Shuuchishin wore) which were then taken off for second and third songs (why was HK the only group to get 3 songs!!!) to reveal cute rocker-style shorts and tops, Mini Moni's adorable checkered outfits complete with cape that fluttered around as they did the dance to Pen Pen Kyodai (apparently choreographed by a member of Nice Girl Project's Canary Club), Pucchi Moni V's shorts and hoodie with a P on it (similar to the original outfits worn by old Pucchimoni but neon colored), and several more.  Basically all the outfits were cool in my mind.  They fit the group (Tanpopo # had poofy emerald green dresses), didn't seem to hinder dancing, and in most cases had something, even something tiny, different on each member.

It was just a great concert.  I have to say I'm glad i did somehow get to both winter concerts.  I like Shuffle Date better just for the setlist and I love seeing the members shuffled.  If I had a chance to see it again I would, but sadly I don't.  However I did notice my twirly purple glowstick waving in a couple of the crowd shots so if those make it into the DVD i will find a way to circle the shadowy figure ^^.

**

Ok so how I got my ticket is this.  My one foreign wota friend convinced me with a "You HAVE to go see Shuffle Date for me!" so I decided what the hell, no I don't have much money but I can "try" for a ticket.  So I went on Yahoo! Auction not really expecting to get something.  Asked three sellers that I was interested in whether picking it up RIGHT before the event would be ok, one said completely, I bid on it.  It was really low but I kept getting outbid from another person's automatic bidding.  So I finally went one higher than him at about $50 (way below retail) and decided "Ok I won't go any higher".  The auction still had an hour left, I totally thought I'd get outbid.  But I didn't.  So I sent the guy my contact info and put his number into my cell to call when I arrived at the train station near the venue about a half hour before the show started.  Got in contact with him.  He said "Well actually I have two tickets because I couldn't sell the other, even if you don't need it please take both.  Oh and since I don't deal with foreigners very often if you'd like here are some extra goods I don't need."  So I got two tickets and a bunch of cds/DVDs for $50.  Then since none of my friends were close enough to meet me and get the other ticket (with only 20 minutes to go) I talked to a group standing outside looking for tickets and sold the ticket for the same price I bought it.  I'm evil.

But that allowed me to buy goods (tshirt and glowstick plus some of the random pics) that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.  And I was able to buy goods with only 10 mins to spare without waiting in long-ass line only because at the big concerts they have female/family only lines.  It's so cheating but it got me in and out in two seconds.  And I exchanged my winning postcard for the picture you got.  The picture isn't that exciting, but still I scratched off the winner so I exchanged it.

And now I need sleep as I have work early in the morning.
