horrible day .......
so this morning was the worst ever. i had an appt at u of m to do a cat scan. i was okay with that. well when they told me i was getting an iv woah man!! i started to get a little scared. the lady had to poke me three times before she got one to work. and unfortunately it was on the side of my arm. ouch a very delicate spot but im glad she didnt put it in my hand. after that i had to wait for them to call me. when the guy and i were walking to the room he was explaining everything to me so i would know what would happen. he said they were gonna do two before pictures to test and make sure im sitting in the right place and they were getting the pictures aligned. then they would put the dye in me through the iv and i would feel a very warm sensation along with a metal taste in my mouth. he said the warm sensation would be kinda like a hot flash. then they would take two pictures after the dye had been in me for 5 minutes and that would complete the test. so i was prepared to go and completely fine until they put the dye in me. its a wierd feeling because you can feel it running through your body, and i got REALLY hot. i seriously almost started crying and thought i was gonna die because my arms were getting tingly (like when a body part is numb). it was bad. the guy was talking to me so he could calm me because by this point i was trembling on the table. it felt so wierd and i was just sooooo hot i couldnt bear it. finally the dye started wearing off after about 2 minutes and i started to get feeling back in my upper body and arms. that scared me so much. i felt so powerless. so he was taking the after the dye pictures and he had to pull me out of the machine for a couple minutes because i was trembling so much. he said i wasnt having a seizure and wasnt allergic i was just really scared so it was making my body shake. i finally calmed down enough to get the last picture and get out of there. i told the guy, i hope i never see you again in my life because that was horrible. so now i have to wait 24-48 hours before those labs will be in. who knows they might disqualify me because i freaked out so much but the guy said he had seen a lot worse and i did a good job considering i have had nothing like this ever done to me. that was an experiance let me tell you. oh well i am off to bed because i am super tired. peace out~~~
