Change in lifestyles and computer gaming.

Over the last few weeks, A and I have been experimenting with the Primal Blueprint lifestyle. We've cut out a lot of the grains and almost all the processed carbs from our diets, focusing mainly on meat, fruit and veggies. So far, A's blood sugar has leveled out, and I've lost about 25 pounds.

We also joined a gym this weekend to keep up the fitness aspect. Basically, the idea is to be constantly active at a low level, like walking, bicycling, hiking, etc. and then a few times a week to really push it with extreme intensity workouts for a short duration. Instead of spending an hour on the treadmill, spend 1/2 an hour doing sprints or lifting heavy things.

Today is HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) for me. I'm going to give a shot to the Endorphin Mainline.

It's nice being a member at a gym again, as it gives us something to get out of the house and do together. Plus the gym has a pool, which, in this heat, it definitely something I love. I've always enjoyed swimming, and working it into my workouts is great.

Not a lot else going on in life right now. We're mostly maintaining our current place. A friend of mine turned me on to Dungeons and Dragons online. I'm having a good time playing it, because I kind of grew up to D&D, and mostly because it's a free MMORPG. It has an awesome solo element to it, so I love it for that. You don't have to be social if you don't want to be, but you can play with your friends. There's also not much PvP action except in certain areas so your gaming isn't affected by idiots around you.

If there's anyone on my f-list that wants to play, let me know. I'm happy to play with friends.

Well, off to cook breakfast.

Take care, wolflings!
