Okay, I guess an update is in order. Basically because I've been very busy the last two weeks and probably will be for two weeks or so more. This will probably be a long entry, so I'll use cuts. I don't want to spam your LJs =P. Here are the reasons of why you won't see too much of me for a while.
The first reason for my absence the past weeks has been family. I've been helping my mum with some stuff and we've had to travel to the beach house to look for a couple of things.
The important thing, however, was the fact that my 2 year old cousin had to be taken to the hospital. She had internal bleeding, and they couldn't say why, since she didn't have any symptoms. At first doctors said it was serious, wich obviously had her parents (my favourite Uncle and Aunt) really worried. You see, my cousin is adopted, since my Uncle and his wife have had a lot of troubles to conceive. The one time they conceived, it was a complicated pregnancy. The boy was born in the fifth month and died one month later because of a virus that attacked him in the hospital. So, as you probably understand, any illness that may attack my cousin now is kinda traumatic for my uncle. So we spent some days in the hospital with her, until they sent my cousin home. They still don't know what was the problem, but apparently it wasn't anything serious.
Of course then comes what I love the most. University. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I hate this time of the year when everything starts to gather together and suddenly I find myself with tons of tests, exams, projects, reports, essays, etc. Last week I had to find someone to interview in Uni's Studio TV. It had to be someone important. Of course, that's not easy. Most important people are too busy to go to my Campus and give a 5 minute interview to some journalism student. So I spent three days calling lots of people and biting my nails to get someone to go (this was the most important grade in that class. No interview = fail!). I finally managed to talk to an important chilean singer and the interview went ok (I won't say good).
That should be added to the tests I have coming now, and some stupid project I have to do for Monday using Dreamweaver (which I have no idea how to use, mind you). And the worse of all: the Radio Examination. We have to go to some radio station and make an analysis of how it work, how it's administrated, comercial stuff, etc. I'm working with a group of people I don't know (the only girl I know, I don't like). We went to Los Andes today (a city about 2 hours away from Santiago, where I live) and it was a terrible trip. The girl that was driving had a thing for Heavy Metal (and God knows I can't stand that music!) so I had to endure the banging in my poor ears for 2 hours. 4 if you count the two hours when we returned. But that's not the worse part. No, to make it worse, she smoke the whole ride! And if there's something I hate more than Heavy Metal is someone smoking all over me. Yuck, my poor lungs were screaming in agony.
Well, now you all know what I've been doing all this time. I still have tons of reading to do so please be patient with me! (Especially
amynoelle and
heavenswood I can't believe you've updated like 6 chapters in all this time! It's awful to see the Chapter alert in my inbox and knowing I can't read it until I finish with Uni text books.)
Hugs to everyone!
