Question?
After a round of discussions at work with the guy in the cubile next to me about politics, this new supreme court nominee, and consociational democracy (Caroline, you think me quoting Aristotle was random, thats right, consociational democracy...I said it) I wonder...why are liberals made out to be the enemy of the state? I mean being on the left and advocating a social safety net to correct the negatives of Capitalism and being in favor of maintaining the right of the individual to decide what to do with their body, whom to love and marry, and maintain private lives outside of the constant threat of government intrusion...does this neccessarily make me anti-freedom, anti-American, and Communist? Discuss...
