I looked at the box that Wesley was holding and immediately, we both knew that it wasn't the Ethros box that we had seen in the book. It was sort of close, but we didn't have time to waste, and what she said was true, I couldn't hold a cross, so Wesley was going to have to do the ritual.
"Oh, yeah this isn't an Ethros box. It's a Methos box, or something like that. The guy said this box should work, anyway."Cordy was reassuring the family, but she did it in her cavalier and tactless way, and it couldn't offer them any comfort, but she had a right to do it that way, because this was no time to be comforted. Angel closed the door behind me and with the cross in one hand and the holy book in the other, I cleared my mind, making it so that the relatively empathic Ethros had no prayer of getting to me and exposing weakness so that he could make me back away or resist making him corporeal, so that we could trap him in that box, that hopefully worked.
I opened the book, and read the first transcritption, getting to the demon, and from a boy, and then into a boy mixed with the demon, came a guttural voice.
