The goo that Wes collected, definitely belonged to an Ethros demon. I didn't get my hands dirty, but I was there for support. Ryan was knocked out when we drove back to the office. Wes mentioned something about the demon using most of his energy. I felt bad for the kid. My brownies saved the day. Secretly, I knew Wes thought they were

"Ha! I knew it! I knew...wait. H-How do you know I work for Angel? And, why did you call him Angelus? It's Angel. He's not Angelus, anymore." I crossed my arms over my chest. He knew a little too much about my business. "You still didn't answer my question. I mean, you know all of this stuff about me and Angel, but I know nothing about you. Who are you? You know, like a name or something?"
"I do a lot of the same things that Angel does around town. I'm really sorry that you were attacked. I'm...I'm glad that I was able to get here on time..."
Boy was he right. He's stammering like a big lug, like Angel does. It was cute. I couldn't help it. I smiled. "What are you sorry for? It's not your fault I was attacked. I just happened to be here. It could have been anyone." I walked closer to him. "I am glad that you were able to get here on time, too. I thought I was going to be his meal." I shivered at the memory.
He just stared at me, with a smirk on his lips. He didn't say much. "God, are you related to Angel? You have the same mannerisms. The staring, stammering and the being a vampire thing. I gotta tell ya, it's creepy." Still, he said nothing. "Not big with the words either, huh?" I rolled my eyes.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to spook you. I just hear things around town when I help people and kill bad bad things and I sort of bumped into that information about an old friend."
My eyes perked up and both of my eyebrows raised. "So, you and Angel are old friends?" He nodded. "Ok, so you're a vampire. I got that. You said Angel's a lot like you, so you have a soul too. That's weird. We've always thought there was only one vampire with a soul. How come Angel's never told us about you?" I walked over to him and poked him on the chest. "I hope this isn't some sort of lie. You're messing with the wrong girl. I'm just letting you know. Angel will kill you, if you lay a finger on me." I crossed my arms over my chest, again.
He smiled, and this time, it was bigger. I tried not to smile, but I couldn't hold it in. He was salty goodness number two. Then, something hit me. "Oh God! I-I have to go. I had to get something from the store and now I have to go back to the office. We're in the middle of a case. The client and his family are waiting for me to get back. Come, on," I said grabbing his hand. I didn't know if he was going to come with me or not. If not, then I'm pretty sure I'll see him, again. I have to get back to the office.

I had gone about it all wrong. My wit was making her suspicious and possibly even nervous.
"You still didn't answer my question. I mean, you know all of this stuff about me and Angel, but I know nothing about you. Who are you? You know, like a name or something?"
"God, are you related to Angel? You have the same mannerisms. The staring, stammering and the being a vampire thing. I gotta tell ya, it's creepy. Not big with the words either, huh?"
"Why would you know anything about me? We've only just met, and just so we're clear, I don't know your name, either, and I did just save your life. So a little less fear and suspicion would be nice. And to give you a little something else, no, Angel and I aren't related, in any kind of way."
I had gone and done it again. What can I say? I was spoiled. I was very used to getting my bloody way.
"So, you and Angel are old friends? Ok, so you're a vampire. I got that. You said Angel's a lot like you, so you have a soul too. That's weird. We've always thought there was only one vampire with a soul. How come Angel's never told us about you?"
How did I answer that one? She came over to me and started poking me on the chest. Obviously, she thought that I did have a soul.
"I hope this isn't some sort of lie. You're messing with the wrong girl. I'm just letting you know. Angel will kill you, if you lay a finger on me."
I laughed. The way that she folde her ams across her chest was flat out sexy, in the most intoxicating of ways. She was so gorgeous normally and multiply that tenfold when she was bloody forceful.
"Oh God! I-I have to go. I had to get something from the store and now I have to go back to the office. We're in the middle of a case. The client and his family are waiting for me to get back. Come on!"
I was about to mention that and ask about the box. I decided that it wasn't time for her to know about me. Then again, I did want to make sure that she got back to Angel in one piece, although I was quite sure that Angel would look upon me as a vampire without a soul and would try to kill me.
I got into the passenger seat and she started driving, me not giving her my name as of yet. "So, we have a possession, judging by the box. Ethros or Shorshak?"
I looked at her, admiring the way that she looked, and the way that she smelled. This was going to be interesting.

I glared at...whatever his name was. I could have killed him with my words, but I decided to bite my tongue. "Pfft, who said I was scared? Suspicious, yeah, but not scared."
Another reason why I didn't bite his head off...I had to get going in a major way. I wasn't going to sit here and argue with a stranger, when there was a someone in danger. I don't care how gorgeous he is.
When I pulled his hand to come with me, I was surprised he actually followed me. We got in the car, and he noticed the box.
"So, we have a possession, judging by the box. Ethros or Shorshak?"
I looked at him, shocked to know that he knew. "Well, there were no more Ethros boxes, so I settled with a Shorshak box. There's this kid that's possessed. Angel and our friend Wes are trying to find a priest now, that can perform the exorcism. I'm hoping this box works just as well as the Ethros box." The Shorshak box was smaller than the Ethros, so I wasn't sure if it would do the trick. If it doesn't work, then there were going to be more problems. I don't think any of us wanted more problems. But, we're going to have to make due with what I have.
I pulled up in front of the office and turned off the car. "By the way, my name is Cordelia. I thought you'd like to know," I said smiling, brightly, at him. "I'm sure Angel might be happy to see you, once we get this case out of the way. We can stay in the kitchen while they do the exorcism." I got out of the car, and walked over to the passenger side. He was already out of the car. He handed me the box. "Thanks." He smiled, again. I turned to walk toward the door, thinking he followed.
"Now, that I shared my name, what's your...," I stopped mid sentence when I turned. He was gone. "...name. Damn vampires. You think he could at least tell me his name before he decided to sneak away." I rolled my eyes and walked in, slamming the door behind me.
I was wanted to know if I was going to see him, again. I mean, I didn't even know his name. He's a friend of Angel's. Do I tell Angel? I wouldn't even know where to begin, since I don't have a name. I started toward the elevator, when I heard the door closing. It was Angel and Wes. Good, we can get to work, and get this night over with, and save a family in the process.
