das_sporking What I'm going to be sporking is actually a game. An otome game. If you don't know what that is, it is basically a "choose-your-own-story" kind of game focused on romance. Generally with anime/manga style art, although right now a lot of non-anime and non-Japanese otome games are starting to show up too because of the easy-to-use engine "Ren'py" (as well as other game engines that can be utilized to make this kind of stuff). I'll talk more about otome games and visual novels in the Intro later.
Based on the
Tenshō Iga War, this game advertises a "bitter sweet romance set in the Sengoku era in Japan". With ninjas and stuff. We'll... see how that works out. See. This game actually name real names and places, and... I always have the opinion that "if you must bastardize history, do make the story good, dammit". Bad romance + bad writing + history fail is a deadly combo that pissed me off so badly I was sorely tempted to smash my tablet.
As there would be choices in-game, I'm quite torn about letting the readers choose, or just go ahead and use the best answers to get the "true ending". We'll see what the community's members suggest, as this will be mostly for their benefit.
Each bachelor gets his own story, so... I'm going to start with the first one I played, and immediately sent me down in a spiral of madness. The prologue is a common prologue, though, so if anyone's interested in seeing any other routes, I might go for that...
