Ok...So the Humane League can Kiss my Lilly White ASS!
For those of you who do not knowme, I am a huge animal lover. At one point, I had 2 cats and 2 dogs. We never have given up an animal for any reason ever. Well, last Nov. my mother had to move and could not have pets, so we took in my brothers cat whom was 18 years old. Because he was raised with no other animals his whole life, he did not take to our dogs and started peeing all over my house. We have tried so many avenues to stop him from doing this since Nov. We couldn't stop it. So I took him to the Humane League to have him adopted by an elderly woman with no other animals. But because we surrendered a cat, that they aggreed we could do nothing with, they would not let us adopt another cat. I wanted to get a kitten that would be raised with the dogs so we wouldn't have the same problem. And they said - get this - b/c I have an infant and two other pets that I had too much on my plate and they didn't feel "comfortable" adopting to us.
WHO IN THE HELL GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT THEY THINK I CAN AND CAN NOT HANDLE. It's none of their damn business! If the cat would have stopped peeing on my floors I never would've given him up! I loved that cat he's been our family forever! They are assholes and can kiss my ass.
They have a policy that states that more animals are surrendered than what actually get adopted. And most of their animals get euthanized. Well, no friggin' wonder! THEY WON'T ADOPT TO LOVING FAMILIES!
