Wins and losses, here and on Qu'Onos

I AM SO TIRED OF HAVING TO WIN BY LOOSING!
There, I feel a little better now. In our society, it seems that the only way to win at anything is by letting yourself get beaten up while turning the other cheek and letting them beat that too so that whoever is doing the beating looks like an asshole and you get the attention(possibly medical) as the one who got beaten on. My apologies to all the english majors for that last sentence. It just seems to me that when one has a problem, the Klingon solution of bashing it on the head is so much simpler(and less painful) than getting beaten up. But here, on Earth, everyone seems to think that its more civilized to damage one another psychologically and socially than physically. Whats wrong with beating the shit out of eachother, followed by having a beer? Why is twisting and manipulating socio-psycjological situations better?
