Below you will find a brief sampling of what to expect in my journal. I'd advise reading it before you decide to friend me.
::about me::
Myself: My name is Kara, and I generally hate writing these things, but I'll do my best. I'm a divorced 30-something mom to a little girl who is the absolute love of my life. I live in Nevada, so, we'll just get this out of the way: No it is not the best thing in the world to live in Las Vegas. Living here is VERY different than visiting, fyi. I am stuck here until I can figure out where to go and how the hell I'm going to get there, though, so I try to make the best of it. Before moving here, I moved back and forth between NY and CA.
Current Obsessions: I don't have much time for obsessions these days with this little one soaking up all my time, but here are some of my most current obsessions:
I'm a big kid at heart so I may have a slight Disney addiction. I would love to visit every park someday, with Tokyo being the one I'm most anxious to see! Beauty Products of all kinds are awesome, really, and I am trying to get back into it. I may collect dolls and toys of various sorts. I have a collection of Monster High dolls, and Pullips, as well as ABJD that I had to give up on. But, Funko figures, all that stuff because, really, big kid and I'm probably never gonna grow up.😜(My old doll journal is here: sugardoll Maybe I'll resurrect that one someday as well) Love, love, LOVE Bettie Page, and classic pin-ups in general, actually. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab really is addictive, and I have been avoiding it lately because I can't really afford it at the moment, but I'm sure I'll come back to it eventually. I like Tattoos, Piercings, all kinds of things I can't afford anymore. And I normally love playing video games and had played World of Warcraft for a while, as well as Hearthstone, but I'm so tired lately that I can't even keep up with any of the shows I enjoy let alone the gaming I'd love to be doing at the moment.

Why Friends Only: Because I'm a suspicious person and I like to know who's reading this. Not everything I write about is of a personal nature, so it's not because this journal contains any deep dark secrets. Frankly, that's not something I'd ever write about on a public forum, f-locked or not. I have had instances of people starting drama over some really stupid things, though, so it's just better this way.
What I Write About: Anything from the boring stuff I did on a given day to my views on what's going on around me. I sometimes squee over things I love (such as my obsessions listed above) and sometimes rant about things that bug the shit out of me. At the end of the day, I write for me and me alone. Want me to censor myself for you? Tough.
::a couple things to remember::
There are a few things you should know before you add me:
- I can be a very sarcastic and very straightforward person. I am honest, and I encourage people to be honest with me.
- I expect that those on my friends list will have the common decency to remember that what is said in my journal stays in my journal, whether you think it's important or not. This has been an issue before, and I would rather it didn't repeat itself.
- I am an open-minded person, and I want the same tolerance and understanding on my friends list. Whether you agree or disagree with me is irrelevant, I am not looking for clones of myself. But I do want people who are able to accept differing viewpoints and can have intelligent conversation over blindly bashing anyone who doesn't agree with them. If you can't, you'd do best to just move along.
