My weekend thus far has involved trips and fun. Friday I went to Great America theme park w/ Natalie to swim in the water park. Today was spent at the San Francisco Zoo with cosplaying friends that I haven't seen since Fanime. It was also a time to display Eruka Frog for the first time, since I didn't finish it in time last month. It was rather fun to walk around the zoo with all the young children staring at my bright orange froggy witch hat...
I had wanted to sleep in Sunday, but now I have plans to meet with high school friends in San Francisco to watch the Gay Pride Parade. Honestly, it is nice to see these people since they're mostly on the east coast, but I had really hoped to avoid the parade. It's not because I'm homophobic, but because I really REALLY hate big crowds. And this is the 40th year of the parade- the crowds will be crushing. I can already imagine the tall sweaty people who will block my view and unintentionally elbow me and press uncomfortably close to me and other unpleasant things...
I had also kinda hoped to avoid the parade because I have been going back and forth around the bay all week- mostly from my summer class in SF, but also from going to Natalie's place in the east bay so that she could drive us to our hang out places. My money is steadily being depleted- public transportation money really adds up. But I will go for my friends' sake, if only to let them see a gay pride parade.
Next weekend will be busy too- I want to see the Last Airbender movie w/ Natalie (in cosplay), and the weekend after that we're going to the Winchester Mystery House. I hope I can have a lazy weekend and sleep in soon...
