Halloween

It's interesting how people at CCA are really getting into celebrating Halloween and dressing up. I remember at SF State, Halloween passed really quietly, although I did go to a Halloween party that the Japanese Student Association held in downtown SF.

I suppose it's because everyone here is creative enough/skilled enough to create their own costumes. It's definitely more fun to make your own costume and show it off to other creative people. That's kinda why I like anime cons as well.

Hm, I dunno if I'm going to dress up. I wasn't exactly thinking about Halloween when I was packing clothes for college, so I don't have a lot that I could throw together for a half-decent costume. But maybe I'll try for the Halloween party that my dorm is holding anyway.

Another reason I'm undecided is because this weekend I'll be at my parent's house. There really isn't a point to dressing up for them or the neighborhood because they don't really care about Halloween. Besides, I'm mostly going because my mom recently came back from a trip to Hong Kong, so I want to see her and get my fobby presents.

Ah, another Halloween-related thing! A girl I know wants to borrow my Azumanga Daioh costume. It's really flattering that she wants to wear it, but I'm kinda worried that it might not fit her since I designed it for my body, and I have a rather... "husky" body type. Also, it's not the best costume I've created, I can think of a bunch of things that I want to improve about it.
