NorCal Hetalia Day

Oct 25, 2009 03:21

10/24 is UN Day, so Hetalia fans decided to celebrate by meeting all over the world. I went to the NorCal meeting in Japantown, San Francisco in the morning. I went as China, and it was really fun to see so many other fans and cosplayers. I'm pretty sure that all the tourists were staring at us- we were a hyper bunch running around the plaza and the Peace Pagoda waving random things like frying pans, plastic guns, whips, plushies, and faucet pipes. It was supposed to go from 10am-4pm, but I cut out around 2:30 so that I could head back to my dorm and change clothes before playing broomball at night.

Overall, it was tiring running around so much, taking pictures, doing the Caramelldansen, etc., but I'm happy that I went. I hope I can see some of them again at Fanime or any other anime con I might go to in the bay area.

Anyway, here are photos of the event; when more people upload pictures, I search for pictures/videos of me. Guh, that's always the awkward thing about going by yourself to anime events, you never have friends to take pictures with. These are also posted on my Facebook, but the album privacy is set to "Friends Only"...
