I missed my friends. Aki, Ken, Alvie and I ate at Wada's Pizzeria tonight. We had Italiano Pizza, three Tumbleweed burgers, 1 Swiss Melt burger, 3 Oreo Mocha Shake (?) and chicken sticks. Yummy! And all of them were below a hundred bucks. Good food, best friends and happy memories makes it so much fun! We caught up with each other's lives and made more memories to remember. We might have spent less than three hours together but it doesn't matter. Our friendship thrives in equal amount space and time. We might not see each other for months but when we do it will always feel like no time had elapsed! I love them for their humor, honesty and fascinating world views. If Aki said that I'm getting rather plump, I'll believe her. We will only speak truths and no lies. God blessed me with so many good friends but they are my best friends. I am grateful. I gave them their birthday gifts- earrings!- because I might not see them on their respective birthdays. We're ladies now, not children. I was glad that they liked them. Aki got dangling earrings with blue stones; Ken got a pair that featured a pair of fish and a dolphin. Ken wore hers right away although she was the most boyish! (Ken's other nickname was "Fishda". It's a combo of "fish" and "isda" which meant the same thing. She looked like a kawaii puffer fish when we were younger!) She liked it. I love to spoil my friends.
Even though Mina and Yuri couldn't come, it's okay. Timing is everything. We'll see Yuri after two years. Or if she has enough plane fare to come home since she now lives in Singapore. Mina's studying for a Masteral degree and has classes. Oh well. We miss you girls!
