Things that make me cry include lover's quarrels, bad grades, insane schedules, intense stress, family problems and finally, the feeling of complete helplessness. I'll definitely cry because of the intensity of my feelings.
Sometimes I cry over dramatic movies. Or even when I hear a really moving piece of music played by a talented person like the electric violin videos in Youtube that I keep sharing. I'll even cry when I hear a good story or feel touched. Mababaw ang luha ko. (My tears are shallow.) It's so easy to move me to tears.
I just end up crying all over the place when I'm heartbroken. When Jerome and I broke up over five months ago, I cried every night. I cried at every text message, phone call and misunderstood word. I cried after our last meeting to my friends! Even when we were together, I was also crying all over the place since it's the most relieving activity to get rid of unwanted emotions. (Then I began to equate love with pain. Hmm.) Oh God, I wasted my tear ducts all over the place. But I can't help it. I am entitled to a good cry so I didn't waste it. Now, I haven't cried in a long time. I'm happier because I let it out.
Crying is good because it's God's way of allowing us to vent our feelings. After a good cry, we're good again. Nowadays, I don't want to waste my tears on useless things. I want them to be reserved for true sadness and true joy.
