So Doctor Who and Game of Thrones both come back the last weekend in March and... I'm surprisingly more excited for Games of Thrones than Doctor Who.  I KNOW!  I'm surprised too.  IDGI.  I've been watching Doctor Who far longer and I'm way more involved in the fandom, but I can't stop thinking about Game of Thrones.

Now I'm going to discuss a book spoiler, but I'm going to put everything book related behin spoiler text (highlight). So you can still read my feels about a certain character, but nothing about the characters future in the books.  Ok?  Ok!

I love Shae.  I love how protective over Sansa she is, even though she really has no reason to like the girl.  She could have easily just left Sansa behind in the castle as Stannis approached, but she urged her to get to safety instead.  Maybe it's because Sansa showed some trust in her by speaking so openly around her.  Shae seems used to hearing Sansa bitch about the Lannisters and even has to tell her to pipe down in front of others.  IDK.  She knows Sansa hates them and, well, she hates them too (except for Tyrion, of course) and so they've, like, bonded.

Oh, and her and Tyrion.  HER AND TYRION.  I love that ship so much.

That said, I really disliked her in the books and didn't bat an eye when she died. Tyrion loved her, yes, but I never got the feeling in the books that she loved him back. In the show, though, I feel like the love goes both ways. I can't really put my finger on why the two characters read so differently. I'd probably have to read the books again to really analyze it. All I know is I love TV Shae and I really really hope that they change the story and let her live. I highly doubt they'd give her and Tyrion a happily ever after, but god damn, at least don't have him have to kill her.

You know who else I love?  Daenerys.  I still haven't finished Dance with Dragons because I don't want her story to end.  I am enjoying her evolution in both mediums very much, even though they have differences in the finer details.  I just love Daenerys.  I had my objections to her at first, but after a couple episodes I was definitely rooting for her.  I still feel that her ruling the lower part of Westeros and the Starks ruling the North is ideal end game for me.  And I hope Tyrion makes it, too.  That's it.  That's my vote for who should win the Game of Thrones.

Also, I'm dreading/secretly excited about (MAJOR BOOK SPOILER)the Red Wedding. Like, I know how painful it is. I had to put the book down for a week after that I was just so damaged. I'm very very pro Stark and they take such a huge hit, after so so many other huge hits already. The Starks cannot catch a fucking break. Watching fandom implode during Stark's execution was painful. And I've had to watch that reaction one at a time for several of my close friends who marathoned the show after the original air date. And now it's about the happen again on a much grander scale. I do not know how some of my friends will survive. I expect LOTS OF CAPSLOCK.
