So I haven't talked about real life stuff in a while...

Well, about a month ago I started work at a call center.  I'm not going to say which one or what company I'm answering calls for, because who knows you could be talking to me the next time you need to call somewhere about something.  DUN DUN DUN MYSTEEEERRRRIOOOOOUS.  Any venting I do about it will be under friends lock, but still...  I just feel weird revealing it.

Anyway, we've had four weeks of in class training so that we can find answers to hundreds if not thousands of different questions.  When I get a customer on the phone it can be something as simple as "I need to pay my bill" to "this electronic device is flashing at me please help me make it stop" to "I need to do this very specific and weird thing with my account and oh why is it taking you 10 minutes to find the answer?  HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS HIGHLY SPECIFIC THING OFF THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD WITHOUT USING A REFERENCE TOOL I CALL ALL THE TIME RAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR"... so I have to be able to find them quickly.  My speed and accuracy can affect my pay.  Oh my God.

Well we're going on the phones on Wednesday.

I'm afraid I'm going to choke.  What if my first call is, like, the call from hell?  What if?  WHAT IF???

This is full time work with bonuses and health benefits.  I need to do this well.  I have to rock this.  I have to stop giggling when I'm nervous because that's going to make this job really awkward.

Edit: No seriously, one of my supervisors has started to call me "Giggles."

I have a problem you guys.  Getting fired for giggling will be an all time low for me.
