I remember walking
here a lot as a child. My father's girlfriend grew up in a house down the street from where the dance hall was and when we'd go to visit her mother and if it was nice out we'd go for a walk along the water. I would walk along the walls and try to go as far out as possible on the pier. Hell, I'd try to go as far into the woods following the outline of the building. I guess they fixed up the boardwalk and I am kind of bummed about that. It was so much fun climbing over everything. It was always abandoned. That's the only word I can think of to explain no one being there. It was like people were afraid of the ghosts they'd come across. It's an area where people have died, been hurt and gotten lost.
The weather has been unpredictable lately. It goes from being sunny to raining in an hour. It was pouring today when I brought Josh to school but now it's sunny and the birds are chirping like crazy. There is a crow outside making a whole lot of noise. It's 19C out right now but I am under the blankets and wearing two sweaters. I think it's just a side effect of the antibiotics which, happy to say, I am finished as of tomorrow.
Tomorrow is also Taco Friday and I cannot wait. I have been craving them all week and I will soon throw myself into the frying pan with the meat!
I think I'm going to go now. Yes, short and random post but that's just the way I am. The Naked Archeologist is coming on soon and I want to watch it. I love that show so much.
